Van Etten Contracting LLC is a paving and excavation company located in Hudson Valley NY. The company focuses on commercial work related to site work, excavation, and paving. Our customers come from the Private, Municipal and DOT sector.
The primary owner is Doreen Brodmerkel, a life-long resident of Orange County NY. Doreen obtained an MBA from Marist College in 1999. Although her career began in the corporate world working for UPS, she had a desire to have her own company which was realized in 2004 when she purchased Van Etten Paving.
The original company consisted of a five-man crew. Since then, the company has expanded to over 30 employees and is able to offer many more services to the community. Doreen strives to continue her education and obtained a Project Management Certificate from George Washington University in 2003 and a Construction Management Certificate from Pace University in 2017. Over the years, Doreen has completed numerous classes at trade shows such as The World of Asphalt and Conn Expo. This education enables her to keep up with changing technologies and new products to ensure Van Etten Contracting LLC is run efficiently while offering the best product and services to its customers.
Giving back to the community is important to Doreen and she has donated time and resources to the Cornwall Central School District, Hudson Highland Nature Museum, and Kenridge Farms.
